Zemirot Yisrael. Hamadan, 1921. Rare
Zemirot Yisrael, prayers and Hebrew songs by various writers, translated into Judeo-Persian in Hebrew letters by Menachem HaLevi, line by line. Rare.
The opening song is "HaTikvah" (written by the poet Naftali Herz Imber), in its long version, which includes all nine verses of the song.
On the title page: "Printed with the author's assistance and with the efforts of the Persian Zionist Organization - Hamadan branch." The name of the Kalimyan printing press in Teheran was added on the binding. The book was possibly prepared for printing in Teheran and then printed in Hamadan.
