'Ilan HaKadosh' a Scroll-Like Kabbalistic Composition, by Rabbi Meir Papres, Disciple of the Ar"i

Ilan HaGadol authored by kabbalist rabbi ... R. Meir Katz Papres ... in small steps to gain wisdom ... to climb the ladder ... contains all the Ar"i's writings.

A most important kabbalistic composition in the form of a rolled up scroll (with a length of more than 3 meters), printed top-down. With many sketches, holy Names and kabbalistic forms. The composition contains the entire fundamentals of kabbalah in the form of illustrations, and to cite R. Yeshayah Muscat "he who is familiar with his holy words can easily practice kabbalah." Similar to the book Raziel HaMalach, the composition before us is also used as an amulet for protection (which is rare even compared to other Kabbalah books, even those by Rabbi Chaim Vital).

HaIlan HaGadol or, in its more familiar name, HaIlan HaKadosh was printed for the first time in Warsaw in 1865, with the approbation of Rabbi Yeshayah Muscat. Before us is a reprinting according to that edition, without the approbation and without the place and year of printing. Rare edition, bibliographically unknown, does not appear in the National Library's collection.

Length: 308 cm. Width: 22 cm. Thick paper. Fine condition. Aging stains. Tape reinforcements.
