Wedding Certificate Signed by the Admo"r, the Author of 'Chelkat Yehoshua' of Biala. 1954

Edah Chareidit marriage certificate for the marriage of the Chassid Rabbi Chaim Shalom Porush, author of many books, and editor of the book series Esh Dat by the Admo"r of Ozharov, and secretary of Agudat Yisrael's Council of Torah Sages. Signed by the Admo"r Rabbi Yechiel Yehoshua Rabinowitz of Biala.

Rabbi Yechiel Yehoshua Rabinowitz [1900-1982], the 'Chelkat Yehoshua,' was at first one of the prominent disciples of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter of Gur. He arrived in Shedlitz at the age of 22 to succeed his father in leading the Biala Chassidim. He established a yeshivah there, where hundreds of young men studied, effectively basing Biala Chassidut there until the outbreak of WWII. After the Nazis entered Shedlitz, the Admo"r fled to Polish territory and was later sent to Siberia. In the absence of a mikveh in frozen Siberia, he would break a hole through the thick layer of ice on the rivers in order to immerse himself in the river water. He ascended to the Land in 1947 and settled in Tel Aviv. He moved to Jerusalem in 1949, and established his study hall there. . After his passing in 1982.
