Levush al Sefer HaTur by Rabbi Mordechai Jaffe. Levush HaTechelet V'HaChur al Chelek Orach Chaim, Levush Ateret Zahav al Chelek Yoreh Deah, Levush HaButz V'HaArgaman al Chelek Even HaEzer. Venice, 1620. Glosses and comments in early Sephardic script.
Early edition of HaLevush, one of the foundational books on the halachahs of Ashkenazic communities.
There are approximately twenty lengthy glosses in ancient Oriental-North African script in the section on Yoreh Deah. Some of the glosses are signed: Y.P.
The glosses have not been examined yet they were obviously written by a sage of stature.
Early owner's signatures on the title page and leaf 2 of the Orach Chaim section.
