The 'Avnei Nezer' HaGaon HaKodesh Rabbainu Avraham Bornstien – the Admo"r of Sochaczew [1831-1910], from the great sages and righteous of the generation son-in-law of the holy 'Saraf of Kotzk', author of sefarim 'Avnei Nezer', 'Eglei Tal'.
Along with leading as Admo"r for thousands of Chassidim, he also served as Rosh Yeshiva where he taught his students his unique method of learning [as he wrote in his introduction of his sefer, acquiring the method of learning from his father-in-law hrh"k of Kotzk]. Many sages of Poland were his students [among the "Chelkat Yoav", the Gaon of Kuziglov Rabbi Arye Tzvi Frumer, Rabbi Avraham Wienberg author of the "Raishit Bikurim", Rabbi Shaul Moshe Zilberman, Rabbi Nosson (Nutka) Shpiegelglos and many more]. His seforim Shu"t "Avnei Nezer" and "Eglei Tal" on the 39 Melachot of Shabbat, are from the basis being learned in the Torah world and are foundations of Halacha.
