Personal copy of Hrh"k Rabbi David'l of Leluv 'the Rabbi of Jerusalem', Rabbi David Tzvi Shlomo Biderman son of Hrh"k Rabbi Elazer Mendel of Leluv son of Hrh"k Rabbi Moshe of Leluv – the righteous of the Leluv family admired by thousands of Jewish communities.

On the cover of the sefer are hand written signatures of Hrh"k Rabbi David Tzvi Shlomo, many stamps and signatures, several notations hand written in pencil, hand written listing.

Breishit – Slavuta (1825). Published by the press of Rabbi Shmuel Avrham Shapiro ben HaRav of Slavuta. 

At the beginning of the sefer, endorsements of Hrh"k the Magid of Chernobyl and Hrh"k the Degel Machane Efrayim, (who writes: "It's already well known the great beauty of the Slavuta print"). Endorsement form HaGaon Rabbi Chaim HaKohen Rappaport of Ostroh, who sat at the head of the Beit Din ruling the historical debate about Slavuta printing rights.

Sources of the custom of learning the Chok L'Yisrael: Instituted from the days of the Holy Ar"I and his disciple Rabbi Chaim Vital who wrote the special intentions when learning the Chok L'Yisrael.

Amazing segula for children, life and wealth: In the Chassidic communities this was accredited for learning the Chok L'Yisrael.

As a pun, according to the wording of the Gemara "חוק - לישנא דמזוני הוא"

[Talmud Bavli, Tractate Beitza, page 17 sheet 1]. Also amongst the righteous it was common and respected to learn the "Chok": Hrh"k Rabbi Yehoshua of Belz refused to receive anyone before finishing his daily learning. The Rabbi of Satmar said the answers of questions he was asked he drew from the "Chok".

The righteous of the Leluv dynasty learned from this holy sefer every day, and many admired its virtue and value, also among the courtyards of Karlin, Tchernobyl and Viznitz.

Hrh"k Rabbi David Tzvi Shlomo Biderman of Leluv called with admiration Rabbi David'l [1843-1918] the fourth Admo'r of Leluv son of Rabbi Elazer Mendel Biderman and Mrs Matel Faiga daughter of Hrh"k Rabbi Tzvi son of the Chozeh of Lublin. Under the influence of Chasidei Karlin in Jerusalem traveled to the Holy "Beit AHaron" of Karlin and became one of his outstanding disciples. 

Admired by all inhabitants of Jerusalem, and all of the Holy Land of Israel, his name was remembered with love and longing by all of Jerusalem shel Maaleh until todays day and his positive influence is recognized until our days. Also the Arabs and the Turkish Governors of the city, admired and honored him with reverence. He was responsible for the Kolel Warsaw of Jerusalem, and was very actively involved to support and expand the settlement and build neighborhoods for the Polish immigrants. For a while he served as Rosh Yeshiva of 'Chayei Olam' of Jerusalem.

His children are Hrh"k Rabbi Shimon Nathan Nata Biderman [see item…in this sale]. Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Biderman, and Rabbi Pinches Uri Biderman. His sons-in-laws are Rabbi Avraham Shlomo Adler, Rabbi Mordechei David Weinstock, Rabbi Avraham Horovitz, and Rabbi Aharon Yehoshua Eliach. His grandson is are the famous mekubal Rabbi Moshe Yair Weinstock [see item…in this sale].
