Complete condition. Vasily Pavlovich Florensky (3 June 1911, Sergiev Posad — 5 April 1956, Moscow) was a Soviet geochemist and petrographer. Candidate of geological and mineralogical Sciences, associate Professor. For almost a quarter of a century he worked at the Department of petrography of sedimentary rocks of the Moscow petroleum Institute, Dean of the geological and exploration faculty during the great Patriotic war. The son of an Orthodox priest, theologian, religious philosopher, scientist, poet P. A. Florensky, brother geochemist and planetary scientist K. P. Florensky and father geochemist and petrographer P. V. Florensky.
