A file with over 100 documents and correspondence regarding the establishment of the city, in north west Sinai. Correspondence includes land allocation, compensation for Arab land owners, the building of neighborhoods, etc. /in addition - amap from 1972 with marking of the area where the city will be erected.
Yamit was first settled in late 1975, and was demolished following the peace agreement with Egypt in 1982. It was planned to be the third biggest waterfront city in Israel after Tel Aviv and Haifa.
