Includes an introduction lacking in subsequent editions.
With the signature of R. Chaim Grozovsky, grandson of the author and Rosh Yeshiva of Kaminetz in New York.
R. Baruch Ber Leibowitz (1864-1940), was one of the most prominent students of R. Chaim Brisker and was a leading Rosh yeshiva in Lithuania in the period immediately preceding the Holocaust. His yeshiva in Kaminetz became a great center of Torah with students coming from all over the world to hear his Shiurim. His classic work Birchas Shmuel is a fundamental sefer in many Yeshivos worldwide.
