תקציר
Presents oral history testimonies dealing with the participation of Uruguay Jewry in the establishment of the State of Israel. The testimony of Nissim Itzhak, a Zionist activist and journalist, refers to the attitude of Uruguayan society to the Jews during the 1930s-40s. Mentions Nazism and pro-Nazi groups in Uruguay and the Jewish community's responses. Oscar Sapolinsky, a Zionist student leader who worked in defense organizations, which fought antisemitism and later provided relief to Holocaust survivors in Uruguay.
