Islamic coinage > Tabaristan > 'Abbasid Governors of Tabaristan: anonymous Sasanian style AR Hemidrachm (23.5mm, 1.95g), dated PYE 130 (AH 165 / AD 781-2); crowned Sasanian-style bust right & legend "strong" before, "excellent" and "good" in 2nd and 3rd quarters of margin / fire altar flanked by attendants + star and crescent flanking flames. References: Malek 146, Album 73; virtually mint state & lustrous, well struck with good small details visible; coin alignment at 45 degree rotation.
