Romanov, 1913. - 224, XII, [1] p.: ill., 23 p. col. ill., port.; 31х24,5 cm. In the new cardboard binding, fragments of the color publisher's skin and spine are pasted to the bound. Pale stains at the beginning of the block. Flyleaves are made with decorated gilt paper. Luxuriously decorated edition
in memory of the 300th anniversary of the reign of the Imperial house of Romanov. Intros, endings and initial letters specially designed by the famous draftsman, engraver, and painter academician L. E. Dmitriev-Kavkazsky, helio engravings are made in one of the best publishing houses of St.
Petersburg – the Association of R. Golike and A. Vilborg; color illustrations in the photozincography of S. M. Prokudin-Gorsky. 'During the anniversary celebrations the book was widely used as a gift.
However, nowadays it is quite rare: after October 1917 the majority of the specimens were lost being destroyed either by the owners or along with their owners.
