From the author's foreword: 'I devote this notebook and the labor applied for its writing to my dear persons: my wife - Alexandra
Dmitrievna and my son - Dmitry Alekseevich, - to let them know and remember who and what they owe in loss of the homeland."
The manuscript is a summary of S. Dmitrievsky's book 'Stalin' (Berlin, 1931) with personal remarks of the author.
