Three interesting and important letters full of Chassidic direction and saturated with fear of Heav-n, by the Chabad emissaries in Morocco, the mashpi'im Rabbi Yehudah Leib Raskin and Rabbi Sa'adiah Leivrov. Morocco, 1963-1964.

In their letters, the rabbis give instructions as to how to write a 'pidyon nefesh' to the Rebbe - what text to use and how the requests are to be written, as well as many other matters.

A short time before the passing of the Rayya"tz, the Rebbe said, "Focus on a specific domain. Go to the Jews of Morocco who need teachers and disseminate Torah among them. There is no difference between Jews, whether they be Ashkenazim or Sephardim. All of us are children of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov, we have one G-d in Heaven and one Torah on Earth." Rabbi Menachem Mendel fulfilled the Rayya"tz's will and sent emissaries to Morocco. He very much took an interest in the work of the Moroccan mission, and constantly encouraged the emissaries. Chaba"d institutions in Morocco are called "Ohalei Yosef Yitzchak Lubavitch" after the Rebbe the Rayya"tz, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak.

For biographies of Rabbi Yehudah Leib Raskin and Rabbi Sa'adiah Leivrov, refer to the text in Winner's Hebrew website.

[3] leaves of official stationery. 27 cm. Two are typewritten and signed by Rabbi Y. L. Raskin, and one is handwritten and signed by Rabbi Sa'adiah Leivrov. Overall fine condition.
