HaGoralot L'Achitofel - great secret, tried and true, for the Jewish people. Jerusalem, at Zuckerman Press.

The source of Sefer HaGoralot L'Achitofel is apparently in Yemen. The leaves with the lottery are inscribed in ancient handwriting, where it is written: "And it is a great secret, tried and true, for Jewish sages, and will tell each inquirer what he wants." There are those who say that this lottery assisted the Anshei Knesset HaGedolah, who hid it from future generations. During a later period, these leaves were transcribed along with instructions, directives and warnings about how to use the lottery "which was commanded not to be used except in great need."
5 leaves, 14 cm. Sh. HaLevi, Sifrei Yerushalyim HaRishonim 546. Fine condition. Tears in the leaves' margins without damage to text except for several words on the last leaf. New jacket cover.
