Sefat Emet by Rabbi Meshulam Feivish Halpern of Berzan, son-in-law of Rabbi Asher of Ropshitz, first edition. Lemberg, 1879.
This book was published by the author's successor, Rabbi Leibush of Berzan, with rare approbations from Rabbi David of Tolna, the author of Lev Samayach of Alesk, the author of Yitev Lev of Sighet, the Tzemach Tzeddek of Vizhnitz, and more. Extraordinarily rare book, Vinograd writes about it, "rare." It has been seen at auction only once! The author was the grandfather of Rabbi Elchanan Halpern of London.
[4], 144 leaves. 25 cm. Stefanskyֲ Chassidut no. 590. Fine condition. Taped reinforcements on the title page with a slight blemish to the text on the reverse side. Tear and two perforations on the last leaf. Beautiful binding.
