Jungreis Family Collection. A Collection of Sefarim Signed by the Gaon Rav Shmuel Dovid Halevi Jungreis, Author of "Maharsa"deh Responsa" and His Family.
Five Sefarim Which Belonged to the Geonim and Tzaddikim of the Jungreis Family. On the Back of the Sefarim are the Stamps and Signatures of the Family's Rabbonim:
Rav Shmuel Dovid Halevy Jungreis Av Beis Din of Yarmut, author of "Maharashda Responsa" (The signature is located on the title pages of the sefarim: "Divrei Ra"sh" and "Ohel Dovid"). The Gaon "Maharashda" was the son-in-law of his uncle, the Gaon and Tzaddik known as the "Menuchas Asher" from Csenger. From him, he absorbed Torah and holiness. Born: 5598 Passed away: 5652. Student of the "K'sav Sofer" and the "Goren Dovid".
Rav Asher Anshel Halevi Jungreis Av Beis Din of Fábiánháza (stamps). Son of the Maharsa"deh. Author of "Tiferes Asher", disciple of the "Kedushas Yom Tov". Traveled to learn from the Admorim of: Sieniawa, Munkatch, and Belz.
Rav Yosef Chaim Segal Jungreis (signature).
Rav Yaakov Tzvi Halevi Jungreis Av Beis Din of יארמוט (stamps). Son of Rav Asher Anshel (mentioned above).
The Sefarim Are:
- "Todas Shelamim"- Torah Novellae of the Ra"n on Masseches Nidah, 'Hasagos Haraz"eh' on "Baaley Hanefesh", Ramban's commentary on "Baaley Hanefesh", and "Lachmei Todah Responsa" by the Gaon Rav Yeshayahu Bassan. Vinnytsia 5501 [1741]. In good condition.
- Sefer HaZohar- The זולקווא edition 5624 [1864] Two complete volumes in good condition. Includes some handwritten explanatory notes.
- Divrei Ra"sh- By the Gaon Rav Shalom Charif Ulman. Vienna 5586 [1826] In very good condition. With signature of his grandson, Rav Isser Ulman.
- Ohel Dovid- By the Gaon Rav Dovid Deutsch on Massechtos Shavuos and Yevamos. Pressburg 5597 [1937]
- K'sav Sofer Responsa- On Massechtos Yoreh Deyah and Even Haezer. Pressburg, 5639 [1879] Incomplete.
- Imrei Dovid- From the Gaon Rav Dovid Shik, Av Beis Din of ברעזווא. Munkatch 5650 [1890]. Title page damaged.
Last two sefarim are bound together.
