Third edition. Title within architectural arch, several Kabbalistic illustrations and tables within the text. Previously in the collection of the late Bookseller R. Bunim Hirschler of Pressburg and London.
Lower corners of opening two leaves repaired, few light stains. Recent boards, worn. Folio. Vinograd, Koretz 6; see also G. Scholem, Kabbalah (1974) pp. 401-4.

In a sense, R. Moshe Cordovero (1522-70) did for Kabbalah what Maimonides executed for Halachah: He provided a systematic code. Upon the ReMa”K's death, his carefully constructed system of Kabbalah would be left to be further developed by his younger contemporary in Safed, the revolutionary AR"I (R. Isaac Luria).
