Manuscript of lectures and eulogies, from Rabbi Asher Segal Lowy of Kalov.
Manuscript, bundle of pages of lectures and eulogies hand written by Rabbi Asher Segal Lowy. Kalov [1935-1944].
About five lectures and eulogies, written on official letterhead papers from the Rabbi, with the heading: " אשר סגל לא" ווי, דיין ומו" צ בקאלוב" (Asher Segal Lowy Dayan and Motz in Kalov).
The holy gaon Rabbi Asher Segal Lowy (He was murdered by the Natzi's in the year 1944 together with his wife and 8 children.) was the son of the Admor Rabbi Elimelech Segal Lowi of Tosh, and son-in-law of his brother Rabbi Mordechei abd of Demecser. In the year 1935 he was appointed as Dayan and Posek in Kalov, and he headed the Yeshiva there. One of his famous disciples was his nephew the holy Rabbi Meshulem Feish Lowy of Tosh – Canada, who at a very young age learned in his uncles Yeshiva and was from his esteemed disciples.
[9] pages (13 manuscript sheets). 23 cm. Good condition. Stained, worn, tears and folding marks with light damage to text.
