Two large photographs by the photography department of American Colony - Yemenite jeweler while working / fishing in the Sea of Galilee. Both are signed: American Colony Jerusalem.
'The photographs are authentic and filmed in the scene, and almost no staged scenes can be found in the way that commercial photographers in previous generations sometimes did. The technical quality of the photographs, their size, their subjects, and the uncompromisingly photographic angle on a sepia-brown paper were a kind of hallmark and synonymous with quality ... There is hardly an illustrated book on the Land of Israel published during the period, which not use in the photographs of the American colony ...
