"The book was painted in a clear Bezalel style and is certainly the most magnificent children's book ever published" [Ayala Gordon, Hebrew Illustrations, The Illustrated Hebrew Book for Children, Tel Aviv, 2005.] Critics of the period expressed their astonishment that the book was exaggeratedly decorated, Which in fact is suitable for the adult world.
