Magnificent Ketubah for the marriage of the bridegroom Judah Bar Jacob with the bride Dina Bath Menachem, Philadelphia 1882. Ink on paper.
The title and the opening in gilt ink. Passeparto frame with manual work decorations - groom and bridal under the canopy and leaves and flower designs, 'Philadelphia' inscription, names of groom and bride families, and detail of the year 1881.
in the collection of the ketubot in the National Library lists only seven ketubot made in Philadelphia in the 19th century.
Size: 23x31 cm. Passparto frame decorated: 45x59 cm. a wooden frame. Very good condition.
