Letter of apology in the form of a poem by Zalman Shazar

Letter of apology in the form of a poem in the handwriting and signature of Zalman Shazar, the third president of the State of Israel.

After he was prevented from attending the wedding of the daughter of Minister Joseph Burg and his wife 'In my many misdeeds, and my many troubles,' Shazar sent a letter of apology to the couple, in the form of a poem deep in rhymes And allusions. In his poem, Shazar points out the attribution of the bride who is "the granddaughter of the Chabad Rebbe ... the daughter of Rabbi Hebron." And also hints at some matters which, as he himself writes: 'I will cut the rhyme, explicitly and imply', and end with a screw-in welcome to the Burg family.

Shazar is also known as a poet, and in 1911 when he first visited Eretz Israel, he recognized Rachel the poet at the Kinneret farm, and she even dedicated some of her poems to him. As a scion for a Chabad family, he used to come every year to Kfar Chabad for hitvahadut 19th in Kislev, and even visited the Rebbe Milubavitch in Brooklyn several times, and had contacts with several Hasidim.

[1] Official letter of the "President of the State of Israel". Moisture stains, and time stains. Moderate condition.
