Rabbi Akiva Sofer-Schreiber [1878-1959] Son of the owner of the Shevet Sofer Rabbi Simcha Bonem Sofer. The last rabbi of Peresburg - Bratislava for 36 years, and the fourth in the Peresburg rabbis' dynasty. One of the leaders of Hungarian Jewry and a member of the Torah Council. He also became known as his halachic essay "Daat Sofer."
