Letter with Important Content from the Gaon Rabbi Shaul Alter, Son of the Admo"r the Pnei Menachem of Gur
Letter with important content on a postcard - halachic responsum handwritten and signed by the gaon Rabbi Shaul Alter, son of the Admo" r the Pnei Menachem of Gur.
In his letter, Rabbi Shaul Alter responds to a halachic inquiry regarding responding amen for someone who is in the middle of studying, and differentiates between one who is paying attention, who must respond amen, and one who is immersed in his study, who does not need to be reminded. After this, he writes: " I am not a rabbi, I responded this time as an exception ..."
