Handsome copy of Masechet Ketubot—Amsterdam 1757, with original binding including metal clasps
Large volume of Masechet Ketubot form the Talmud Bavli, with Rashi’s commentary, Tosafot, piskei Tosafot, and Rabbeinu Asher, Piskei HaRosh, and Rambam’s commentary on the Mishnayot. From the printing house of the brothers and children of Rabbi Shlomo Propus Katz. Many stamps of “Heder of the Gymnasia HaIvrit Yafo, Israel.” Above that the stamps: “taken out from the Herzliya Gymnasia 1970”. On the inside of the binding there is a sticker testifying that the book was sold by the Keren HaGeula to the Hebrew Gymnasia in Herzliya-Yafo, with the stamp of the Committee of the Keren Geula in Yafo. Handsome copy, with wooden binding covered in leather, original, and metal clasps for closing. Moth damage, many stains, first pages are detached as a group, damage to the binding, generally ok to good condition.
