Torat Chovot HaLevavot with German—Leipzig 1846, with interesting notes
By Rabbeinu Bechayai bar Yosef. Two covers, one using a yellow page, additional cover in German. Long introduction in German with comparisons to Arabic; probably a research study on the book and its different editions. XLVIII, 232 pages, 464 total sides, with indices. Note of ownership on the cover: “Yisrael bar Asher.” Additional partially erased signature with a reference to the year 1948. On the back of the first cover is a long inscription in which a father (who owned the copy) writes the dates of his children’s birthdays. Number of handwritten corrections. Two covers, repaired professionally, various stains. Purple coloring on the edges of pages, old binding is worn at the edges, generally good condition.
