This is a grandiose painting (in size and in quality), truly fit for a museum and meant to be displayed in a special place. Frenkel-Frenel (1899-1981) was born in Odessa and moved to Palestine/Israel in 1919. He is considered one of the most important Jewish "École de Paris" painters. He presented his work in one-man shows in museums and galleries all over the world.
