Anti-Israeli Poster – United States - 1969
Antisemitic and anti Israeli poster in English. United States, 1969. “Ski Israel, Matzoh Mountain Country”. Designed by D. Booty. Published by Action Decal & Silkscreen Chicago.
The poster is illustrated with Israeli soldier, wearing an eyepatch, smoking a cigar and holding a “Marx” rifle in his hand, skiing down a mountain on two Arab men, used as skis. On the soldier’s chest is the “Iron Bagel” medal, and bonds are flying away from his pocket. The poster was apparently printed as a reaction to the victory of Israel in the Six Days War.
Dimensions: approximately: 50X72.5 cm. Good-fair condition, stains, creases, tears at margins, wear.
