Rabbi Yitzchok Grishaber AB"D of Paks - the 'Makel Noam'. Shulchan Aruch filled with Handwritten Glosses. Fürth 1761

Shulchan Aruch, Even HaEzer, with the signature and dozens of glosses and elucidations in the page margins, by the renowned Rabbi Yitzchak Grishaber, the rabbi of the Paks community and a student of the gaon, the Noda B’Yehuda. Some of the comments are particularly long and easy to read.

To the best of our knowledge these comments are as yet unpublished!

On the front flyleaf Rabbi Grishaber listed the contents of all the sections in his holy handwriting.

The Gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Grishaber was the rabbi of Paks and one of the great sages of Hungary. He studied under the Noda B’Yehuda and corresponded with the great sages of his generation. He was renowned for his polemic against Aharon Chorin in the dispute over the kashrut of the sturgeon and published his famous pamphlets, Makel Noam and Kela B’Shiryon.
