Rabbi Yitzchak Moshe Perles, the AB"D of Bonyhád. Shabbos Hagadol Sermon 13 pages. Eisenstadt, 1838

Thirteen Handwritten Pages (sides) – A Derasha for Shabbos HaGadol – a long, detailed debate on Tractates Chulin and Pesachim, delivered by Rabbi Yitzchak Moshe Perls, Av Beis Din of Bonyhád, during his tenure as rabbi of Eisenstadt, in 1838, a long pamphlet in his very handwriting.

Rabbi Yitzchak Moshe Perles (1784-1854) was a student of the Rabbi Meshulam Igra and Rabbi Yosef, the Av Beis Din of Poznan. Rabbi Yitzchak corresponded extensively with the Chassam Sofer and even studied under him in Dreznitz. Rabbi Yitzchak served as a rabbi in the communities of Kojetin, Holitch and Eisenstadt, and in 1841 was appointed Av Beis Din in Bonyhád, although he ultimately resigned his position because of the friction with the Enlightenment movement in that city.

21 X 26 cm. 7 leaves, with writing on both sides except for the last leaf = 13 pages. Very good condition.
