Part 2 consists of 200 responsa on halacha. [among these responsa is one from Moshe Mendelsohn and sharp criticism of a ruling by Rabbi Yehonatan Eybeschütz]. Published by the author’s press, which he established for himself and in which he published most of his books.
Complete copy with nothing missing!
33.5 cm. 166, 109 ff. Old, half-leather binding [some stains on Part 1]. Two parts in one volume. Dark leaves. Nice margins. Some thick leaves. Very good condition.
Rabbi Yaakov Yisrael Emden was uncompromising and fought for Torah ideas, halacha and his opinions. He established a publishing house in his own home and published most of his books there, which contributed to their scarcity. His books were well received throughout the Diaspora and remained relevant in subsequent generations.
