Seashell crafting symbol with the rising sun bought by a soldier serving in the Australian Army in The Land of Israel with the inscription "UN Australian Army Corps". Rare. During WW1 the Australian army soldiers fought alongside the British army in an attempt to conquer the Land of Israel from Ottoman rule. In the attack on Be'er Sheva (31.10.1917), which marked the turning point of the war, tha Australian cavaliers fought with determination and remarkable courage and won the battle. The friendly Australian soldiers are remembered fondly by the Jewish settlers in The Land of Israel. A historical item. Diameter: 3 cm. In good condition.
