Halachic responsum regarding a tragic episode where a groom from Switzerland rejected the Jewish faith unbeknown to his bride before the wedding. With a handwritten inscription by the author.
R. Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg (1884-1966), was a noted European Rav, Posek and Rosh Yeshiva. He is best known for his work of responsa Sridei Aish. Born in Poland, he studied at the yeshivas of Mir and Slabodka. In 1907, he was appointed as Rav in his Pilwishki (in Lithuania). He taught at and eventually became Rosh Yeshiva of the Hildesheimer Rabbinical Seminary in Berlin. After the war, he lived in Montreux, Switzerland until his passing in 1966.
