An unbelievable 3" stack of hand written pages of recollections of cowboys, Indians and soldiers . From the Estate of Robert Ferrimgtom Elwell, famed Western Illustrator. Personal observations of period cowboy gear and what they were used for. Few examples writtem are history of the Texas Star; the origin of words such as cow punches, vaquero etc. Hand drawn examples of ranch gear and plants; the history of Tombstone ; descriptions of various of spurs; riatas etc. All written by Robert Elwell following years of interviewing cowboys all around the West perhaps for authentication for his well know Western illustrations.
