Rezső (Rudolf) Kasztner (1906-57) was a Hungarian-Jewish journalist and lawyer who became celebrated for his activities seeking to help Jews escape the Holocaust. He was assassinated in 1957 after an Israeli court accused him of having collaborated with the Nazis. Hungarian born Shlomo Yedidyah-Seelenfreund (1875-61) who moved to Eretz Israel in 1921 was deeply involved in the arts his entire life.
