ADAMS porcelain mug and saucer (a subsidiary of English manufacturer Wedgwood) with matching antisemitic scenes. England, 19th Century.


In the center of the plate and on the mug is a large illustration of a Jewish boy who is Caught in his inmates and blames his other Jewish friend. On the other side of the glass is another anti-Semitic figure in which the Jew abuses the child. [Antisemitic scenes taken from the play Oliver Tweets, depicting the Jewish villain Fagin in the play].
