Georg Weber (1808-1888) was a famous German historian. His most important and most fundamental work was the universal history, written in 1857-1880. It provided the latest accurate data on the history of human civilization from the earliest times to the XIX century inclusive. The book attempts to present a complete picture of the historical development of socio-economic relations and institutions, the history of human culture.
