Album containing 78 b/w photographs (gelatin silver print); cm 26x37x6Instituto Nazionale Luce. Oblong folio album (246 x 361 mm) containing 77 (of 78) large b/w photographs (3 folded: crowd at the Ara Pacis, parliament, parade) documenting the landing of the Italian Forces in Albania and the subsequent offer of the Crown of Albania to Vittorio Emanuele III. The photographs illustrate the Savoy ship, the landing of tanks and other military equipment, deployments of soldiers, crowds of local people, ground forces, soldiers struggling with radio, the arrival of Vittorio Emanuele III and other personalities, crowds with placards praising the Duce and the Fascist Army, photographs of the Duce (one of which dated April 13, 1939), the Ara Pacis ceremony in Rome, and also photographs of the King with the Queen, other personalities, and moments of the ceremony. Full bluette leather with gold titles signed "Antinori - Rome". VERY RARE commemorative ALBUM documenting the stages, from 7 to 16 April 1939, of the landing and occupation of Albania, and the coronation of Vittorio Emanuele III as King of Albania in Rome. It is a photographic propaganda campaign created by the then National Light Institute. The only other copy found is at the Neapolitan Society of Homeland History, which writes "There is no other copy of this album."Starting price: 800 €  + buyer's premium  24%plus shipment costs
