The Armory chamber-the Moscow Treasury Museum - is part of the Grand Kremlin Palace complex. The basis of the Museum collection is made up of precious items that were stored for centuries in the Royal Treasury and the Patriarchal vestry, made in the Kremlin workshops, as well as received as gifts from foreign embassies. In the Armoury collection are the unique works of Russian goldsmiths and silversmiths XII — beginning of XX century collection of Western European art silver XIII — XIX centuries, the monuments of weapon skill XII—XIX centuries, military awards of Russia, luxurious precious fabrics, ancient secular and ecclesiastical clothing, ceremonial dress of the XVIII—XX centuries, the state regalia, ceremonial horse trappings and rare collection of antique carriages XVI—XVIII centuries. The Museum presents about four thousand monuments of decorative and applied art of Russia, Europe and the East of the IV-early XX century.
