Dimensions: 16.5x10 cm (unfolded: 16.5 x 21 cm).

On the inner side has an inscription in pen listing the names of members of the editorial board and publishing staff who participated in working on the book.

Condition: in a good state of preservation, slight surface smutting

Orlov A.M. (1910 - ???). Soviet graphic artist, illustrator, book artist, easel landscape painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, Honored Artist of the Tajik SSR. In 1936-1937 he worked at the Institute of Art Statistics of Central Administration of Economic Accounting of Gosplan (ЦУНХУ СССР "Изостат"). At the end of 1941, he participated in the organization of "Windows Tajik Telegraph Agency" - the Tajik version of "Windows TASS (Telegraph Agency of USSR)". He worked with the publishing houses “Geografgiz”, “Trudrezervizdat”, “Mysl' (Thought)”, “Molodaya Gvardiya (Young Guard)”. He illustrated the covers of the magazine " Znaniye - sila (Knowledge is Power)", created drawings for filmstrips. His most famous illustrations are the ones to the writings of V.A. Obruchev " The Land of Sannikov "; J.-H. Rosny aîné " The Quest for Fire and " Vamireh "; I.E. Yefremov " The Road of Winds "; Arthur Conan Doyle "The Lost World"; S.Karatov "Fast-footed Dzhar", "Land of the Mammoths", "Stone giant"; B. V. Lyapunov "From the depths of centuries"; D.Angelov "When there was no man"; A. and B. Strugatsky "Six Matches", as well as to Tajik folk tales and legends.
