Al-Haram al-Ibrahimi al-Khalil, A Brief Guide, Published by the Supreme Muslim Council, Jerusalem. Jerusalem: The Muslim Orphanage press, 1928. English.
A guide for visitors to the Cave of the Patriarchs. Includes a geographical and historical review of Hebron and the Cave of the patriarchs, accompanied by eight photographs. A note at the beginning of the guide reads: "Visitors should bear in mind that all the Haram Area is sacred to Moslems; and that they will be expected to pay due regard to its sanctity. In particular, they must abstain from smoking anywhere in the Area and from bringing dogs with them".
The guide was published at the initiative of the Supreme Muslim Council, which represented the religious interests of the Arab public in Palestine during the years 1922-1948.
8 pp + 8 photographic plates, 23.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Tears and minor creases to margins. One staple of the staples binding the booklet is missing. The original cover is detached and worn, with several closed and open tears.
