Chernyshev Nikolay Mikhaylovich (1885, Nickolskoye village, the Tambov Province – 1973).
Studied at Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (1901-1911) under A.E. Arkhipov, N.A. Kasatkin, K.A. Korovin, V.A. Serov; studied in Paris at Julienne Academy (1910), in Petersburg at Higher State Art University of Academy of Arts (1911-1915) under D.I. Kiplik and V.V. Mate. Member of the “Union of the Workers of Applied Art and Art Industry” (1919), the union “World of Art” (1921), one of the founders of “Makovetz” (1922-26), the member of “Moscow Artists’ Union” (1928-29), known as a research officer, the Corresponding Member of the State Academy of Art Sciences (1927-1930), artist, monumentalist. Much worked in sphere of restoration.
