Bichat thanks his correspondent for their kindness and states `it is with very great pleasure that I will give my name to your son…..a thousand matters are overwhelming me on my return after a few days away, and only allow me to write a few words to you..´ further referring to some employment he will try and secure for his correspondent, remarking `because nothing has been organized yet for the new appointments of the new constitution, I cannot take care of your request, but as soon as there will be anything…I will find something for you in the department…´ and also writing `Tell my father that he will push my aunt in order to not delay any longer the sending of the little amount of money which represents almost all his income´ In a postscript Bichat reminds his correspondent `do not forget to obtain all the information available regarding the posts which are available and at the government disposal´ With integral address leaf in Bichat´s hand, addressed to citizen Bichat son. Autograph letters of Bichat are extremely rare as a result of his tragically early death from typhoid fever at the age of 30.
