Briefly about the author: graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the National Pedagogical University of Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan; studied at the faculty of monumental painting of the Kazakh National Academy of Art named after T.K. Zhurgenov, Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan; also graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts, Tapestry Design and Textile of the National Almaty Art School named after N.V. Gogol, Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. 1995-2004 lived and worked in New York, USA. At this time he continues his studies at the University of the Arts (UdK), Berlin, Germany.
Nargis's works are exhibited at many international solo and group exhibitions and are part of private and museum collections. Among them is a personal exhibition "Ya-Nomad" in the State Museum named after A. Kasteeva; exhibition "Texture", projects Geismar, in Berlin (Germany); project for the 4th Biennale in Berlin "Checkpoint Charley", personal exhibition "On the path of Arabesque, sounds of form" in the ART-SAMAL gallery (Almaty, Kazakhstan); the exhibition "Crossroads", figurative meets abstract, at the Zalman Gallery (New York, USA); "Art x 2" at the International Visions Gallery (Washington, USA); "Worship from a Distance" at the Zalman Gallery (New York, USA), "The Geometry of Randomness" at the Pauline and Freundae Gallery (Berlin, Germany) and many others.
To achieve the transfer of his ideas in his works, Nargis masterly uses various techniques, such as painting, drawing, embroidery, multimedia installations, video, etc.
