The book deal entirely with matters of Jewish divorce; the style of writing divorce contracts, laws of divorce contracts, men and women’s names in the document, the topic of ‘chalitza’, divorce contract through an emissary etc.
Rabbi Aharon Mandel ben Natan HaKohen BaHaran was born in Tiberias in 1866. He died and was buried in Tiberias in 1928. He published a number of his works including, Klilat Chatanim, Evel Mitzrayim, HaNeshamah VeHakadish, Choveret HaKadish. He left a manuscript of his Sefer Teruchin.
One of his many accomplishments as a community activist was the founding of Agudat Rabbanim. This was a committee that included over 500 Rabbis worldwide. In 1903 they gathered together for a World Congress in Cracow. Their goal was to deal with urgent issues affecting Jewish communities around the world.
