RABBI YOSEF TZVI DUSCHINSKI, RABBI OF GALANTA, CHUST AND YERUSHALAYIM – EARLY LETTER, HANDWRITTEN AND SIGNED.
Letter dated 1911, reporting to parents on the most satisfactory progress of their son - his student, Zorach Baum.
Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Duschinski (1867-1948), disciple of Rabbi Moshe Pollak of Bonyhad and of the Shevet Sofer and son-in-law of Rabbi Mordechai Leib Winkler of Mad. Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Galanta and Chust. In 1932 he was chosen to succeed Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld as Rabbi of the Eida Charedis in Yerushalayim, becoming the rabbinical leader of independent orthodox Jewry in Eretz Yisrael, as well as heading a large Yeshiva.
