Beautifully printed unissued certificate from Kupat Ashrai. This historic document was printed by Hamadpis Liphshitz in Jerusalem in the 1930's and has an ornate border around it with 10 unused coupons attached. It is printed in Hebrew and English.
THIS CERTIFICATE RELATES TO THE ORGANIZATION OF THE POLAND ORTHODOX JEWS IN ERETZ-ISRAEL AND REFLECTS THE EFFORTS OF THE ORTHODOX POLAND JEWS TO ESTABLISH AN INDEPENDENCE ACTIVITY (OUTSIDE OF THE ZIONIST ORGANIZATION) IN THE BUILDING OF ERETZ-ISRAEL. THIS WAS ENCOURAGED BY THE KNOWN GERRER RABBI AVRAHAM MORDECHAI ALTER WHICH HIS SON R. BONEM ALTER (THE "LEV SIMCHA") WHO WAS A MEMBER OF THE ORGANIZATION.
