No passport offices and registry Offices - everything is simple!
Curiously, " the wife of a staff captain " is indicated by the title of Lydia Neelova.
Judging by the passport, the lady often traveled to St. Petersburg and not only, having the means to do so. Evidence of this is clear, well-preserved stamps "YAVLEN" by the St. Petersburg police in the passport. The staff captain Neelov himself, according to numerous testimonies, was the grandson of the legendary "Black mark" (nickname in the British Infantry during the Crimean War) Lieutenant Neelov, who went missing in the case of Alma in 1854. the Nickname is due to the Lieutenant's black eye patch-a consequence of an early severe injury in the Crimean war. The Lieutenant's fame was added by the fact that he was the LAST officially recognized hero of the Crimean War, only in 1857 he was "Dismissed to the reserve with the rank of staff captain" posthumously. A rare document of the era.
