Bogorodsky Fedor Semenovich (1895, Nizhni Novgorod – 1959, Moscow).
Painter, draftsman, theater artist, book graphic artist, poster artist. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1946). Laureate of the Stalin Prize (1946). Corresponding Member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1947), Chairman of the Board of the Moscow Union of Artists (1955 - 1958). Graduated from Moscow University (1917), VKHUTEMAS (1924). Since 1916 - participant of exhibitions in Russia. Member of the art associations "Being" (1922), "Fire-flower" (1925), AHRR (1924). Head of the Department of Painting and Drawing at VGIK (1938-1959). The artist's works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of the Revolution and the Central Museum of the Armed Forces in Moscow, in the Kiev State Museum of Russian Art and in the collections of many provincial art museums.
